The concept of alienation and observation juxtaposed is VERY well balanced between the tiled eyes (excellent image in general) and the more unimposing font choices. The overall effect is very visually appealing and speaks volumes about your texts. I also enjoyed the thematic aspects of your presentation—you described very well the concepts behind Kafka’s work and summarized his plots efficiently. When looking to your research paper specifically, I had great interest. This is because my author, Knut Hamsun was known to have been a great influence on Kafka’s life and works. Naturally, however, I was not surprised to see that Hamsun’s name has been erased from the history books. The influences you talked about, however, were very thematically similar to those that Knut Hamsun wrote about. I enjoyed your psychological analysis of Kafka’s work, especially that of the concept of isolation. I enjoyed your link between your criticism and his personal writing style, but I thought that the impact could have been better connected to the meaning of isolation as it related to the work as a whole. Overall, very well done.
